Polar RS300X Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black) Right now

This is a great watch for exercise, now I know my heart rate when I go jogging or during spinning bike sessions. I've been using it for some time and it's pretty good. It's also compatible with Footpot and GPS, just in case I want to use those features in the future. At the moment, everything works as expected.Get more detail about Polar RS300X Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black).

Impact Sports ePulse Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Watch and Calorimeter Decide Now

The concept is really good but the product is poorly designed. The battery pack is too clunky. Display unit is of poor quality - cheap looking display. The durability of the sensor is questionable too - mine stop reading correctly after 2 weeks into use. This product really needs a redesign - using smaller battery and a better display, better strap.Get more detail about Impact Sports ePulse Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Watch and Calorimeter.

Bowflex Fit Trainer 10M Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black) Order Now

I hate wearing those chest bands, but I do wear one when I exercize. This little watch is excellent for those on the go checks of pulse rate when you don't have time to count as you finger your wrist. It's not perfect, but it is great for what it is.Get more detail about Bowflex Fit Trainer 10M Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black).

Timex Ironman Men's Race Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch, Black/Blue, Full Size Get it now!

Thus far, I have only used it for running, but it definitely does the job. I plan on biking with it on and any other cardio-based exercises in the future to make sure I'm not working too heavily or lightly.
The heart monitor chest strap works great for me. Once adjusted correctly, I can't feel it while I'm running and it isn't noticeable, even under a thin shirt.
The watch looks cool and isn't heavy or restraining, so I have no problem wearing it anytime (and trust me, I have never been a watch person). I have worn it while running across my college campus in the pouring rain and I was comforted that I could check the time without grabbing my cell phone and giving it water damage.
All in all, a great product and exactly what I needed and wanted.Get more detail about Timex Ironman Men's Race Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch, Black/Blue, Full Size.

Polar F11 Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Blue Glow, New Design) Immediately

If you want a great heart rate monitor for about 6 months then this is the one for you. Mine no longer monitors my heart, but it is still an attractive sports watch, even after new batteries. I would have given more stars for the 6 months that it worked, but I subtracted a star for every $40 or so that I paid for it.Get more detail about Polar F11 Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Blue Glow, New Design).

Polar F4 Men's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black Thunder) This instant

This was the first HRM I owned, and it is perfect for beginners. Everything is very simple to understand, and set up. The unit is attractive looking, and highly accurate (you can see your HR rise the moment you start moving), with enough real features to keep you motivated, and actually put it to good use either in the gym or on the road.

One thing I've since discovered, is that Polar HRM's are much easier to use than some other models (check a few manuals online to see for yourself). The F4 is very simple: simply enter some initial data (age, sex, weight), and then put the strap on (wet the reverse with some tap water) and you're ready. Click the start button. The unit has useful exercise views (duration, time in zone, calories, avg heart rate, max heart rate) which you can cycle through with a button press as you work out. Once finished, you view an exercise summary screen, which displays all this information. The data is then added to a totals file (which can be reset at will -- ie: at the end of the week).

All in all, this is perfect for a beginner. It does enough for it to be useful for a couple of years, before you will want to move onto something more complicated. Don't spend £150+ on a HRM first time; try something like this and make sure you need extra features. This worked like a dream for me, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a simple (but effective) heart rate monitor.Get more detail about Polar F4 Men's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black Thunder).

Timex Ironman Road Trainer Mid Monitors Review

This HR Monitor has lots of great features but, the most important one, the Heart Rate Monitor doesn't give a consistent reading. I've changed the batteries on both the monitor and the watch and the HR monitor still isn't constantly picking up a signal. It will go from 160 (which is approx. my running HR) to 70 in the same 1/2 mile. I haven't totally given up on it. I'll keep moving the monitor around to see if I can get it in a better spot. Shop For Mio Breeze Petite Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch

Absolutely terrible! To even see your heart rate you have to hold down a button on the side of the watch for 7-10 seconds, which is really hard to do in the middle of a workout. To make it worse, half the time it doesn't even register or display your heart rate. I reread the instructions which said to try showering with the watch on to help build up moisture between your wrist and the watch to better transfer the signal. BAD IDEA! The watch filled with condensation and the accuracy of the few times it actually did read my heart rate completely bottomed out. I continued to wear the watch for another couple days, hoping the water would dry out, but the watch ended up dying completely. What a waste!Get more detail about Mio Breeze Petite Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

Where To Buy Polar Flowlink

I have the Polar FT40 HRM and syncing the watch via the flowlink has never failed. There has never been an alignment issue. The watch is aligned immediately after placing the watch on the flowlink. Data transfer starts automatically. I've never had a failure thus far. The usefulness of analyzing
data on the Polar personal trainer website is perhaps not that useful as at least one other reviewer noted.Get more detail about Polar Flowlink.

Order Timex T5J983 Midsize Digital Fitness Heart Rate Monitor Watch

After a heart attack and triple bypass, I wanted a dependable pulse meter for training purposes. I was very athletic, competition runner and swimmer in high school prior to my M.I. which is probably what saved my life. As a result of my earlier athletic endeavors, I knew something about timing technology and training methods. I was looking for a useful and durable pulse meter under $100.

My cardiac rehab nurses recommended Timex as a good choice in pulse meters among an extensive list. They recommended a less sophisticated and less expensive model. I did some research and chose the T5J983. I am glad that I did.

The watch has all the features of much higher priced models: multiple zone settings and warnings, lap timers, superb stop watch technology and excellent digital communication between chest band and watch. In addition, the Indiglo feature allows the watch to be read in any light or no light.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied. The watch performed as I expected. The band is as comfortable as I imagine a chest strap can be. For the price, it is an great buy.

Buying Polar FS1 Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Dark Blue)

The watch and chest strap is very easy to use. That is the good news. The bad news is that it is REALLY LOUD. It constantly beeps as it measures your heart rate. I cannot use it in an athletic yoga class to measure my output nor in a quiet gym. It is really distracting and makes it pretty much useless to me. I would NOT recommend the watch unless you are working out in a noisy venue.Get more detail about Polar FS1 Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Dark Blue).

Cheapest Polar FT40 Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Green)

Overall, I think this is a good, QUALITY product!

It does what it says it will do--WELL! No surprises! I was looking for a waterproof watch that was customizable to view how many calories I was burning (for fat loss purposes) and an attractive watch that I could wear everyday to work (I work in a casual environment--this wouldn't be suitable for a banking job as the watch is a sport watch--bigger than a jewellery watch). I reviewed several other brands and the Polar website of all other products--I decided on Polar because of other people's positive experiences and the brand quality. Another major feature that I considered was the watch being able to calculate calories for non-cardio activities (strength training), but I decided against that (mostly because those watches were designed for men and they were not in my price range, but also because I read that it isn't really necessary?). The watch isn't so "bright lime green" in real life (it looks SLIGHTLY less impressive in real life than it does on the website) , also the watch strap seems to get a little dirty with normal use. I did receive several compliments about the watch when it was new.

I paid about $175 CDN and shipping was expensive, but it was shipped fairly fast (about 7 days from the US to Canada). Unfortunately, amazon.ca doesn't carry Polar! Pricing seemed comparable everywhere I looked (minus shipping). The movie listed on this review page was the final convincing factor for me buying this watch. I found the Polar website a little too technical when deciding (I would be fine now). I wish it had a questionnaire that would help guide you as to which product is best rather than having to compare them all yourself!!! I was also considering buying several other Polar watches--the final debate was between this watch and the FT60 (I had to put a price range in it, and considering that I was only a mild-moderate active person, I didn't want to go all out--probably next time). I ended up buying this watch because I couldn't (at that time justify spending another $60 US. :( I kind of think that may have been a better watch for me as it allows for cross training which is good for me as I am trying to lose fat, and am trying to vary my activity (the FT60 says it sets up the program for you--although I wasn't sure if that was what I wanted/wasn't sure if that was customizable.)

I am fairly happy with this watch as it does what is most important: it's reliable, sturdy, it counts calories, it allows for the user to take a 5 minute test (lay on the ground--it will monitor your heart rate), it will allow the user to always customize their user info so that the stats should be accurate (including height, weight, gender, dob, activity level). While wearing the chest strap, this watch will tell you your heart rate, monitor your maximum heart rate zone for you during activity (which you can manually enter your maximums yourself or let it choose it for you), put in your VO2 index (which, from reading, I realized is a quality feature!), keep data records of how many minutes of activity you did, what your heart rate was at, and how many calories you burned (most importantly!)

I have compared my watch to the cardio machines at the gym and this watch definitely seems a lot more accurate (others over-estimate!) I also used this watch while downhill skiing--it does overestimate the calories burned on downhill skiing (I believe), because you are not always relying on your body to get you down the mountain, which can skew the results. If you are scared, your heart might go up a bit, and skew the results a little (in my opinion, and not that I would know this from experience! LOL!)

Other things that are good about this watch are the alarm--it has a custom alarm (daily, weekdays, once, off) with snooze. It features military time (including seconds) which I use at work. It features a 5-second teal back light (button that you press) that is very helpful for reading the data in the dark! The watch data is also apparently downloadable to the Polar website via wifi, but I have not tried doing this. The green watch band has turned slightly dirty shade of green from normal use (doesn't seem to wash off well from shower). My dog unfortunately scratched the screen REALLY BAD when I was holding her (moderately easy to scratch plastic). :( However, the watch quality I would say is very good with normal use - no breakages or tears, etc.!

I did lose 20 lbs. this last year while using this watch; however, I don't use the calorie features as much anymore--the main reason is because I tire of/forget to wear the chest strap (and you have to put water on it first to activate it, which is a little bit cold to press against your skin! Be careful not to lose the transmitter on the chest strap--it snaps off.

The FT40 really motivated me--especially for the first 3 months, it got me out and active a lot more. I recommend this watch as it provides a whole lot of helpful features, it is EASY to use and it has motivated me; however, if you are considering a higher level Polar watch I would say, go for it! I think I would have been a little happier with the Polar FT60 even though it would have been $70 USD more. This watch is an investment and if you think you will use the other features (and it keeps you motivated), then it is definitely worth it even if it kills your bank account. This watch's expectancy (I would say) should be 5+ years (maybe up to 10). The only con to this product (besides the somewhat easily scratched screen) is the price, but you get what you pay for here!Get more detail about Polar FT40 Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Green).

Discount Suunto Motion Activated Foot POD

I really like the foot pod. I'm in the Air Force and run quite often to keep myself in shape, and I have always found it hard to gauge my speed... usually I have to use lap times, but by the time I make a lap, I'm either already getting worn out because I ran too fast or I realize I'm going too slow and I have to really push on the next 5 laps to make up for it. With the Suunto T3 + this foot pod, I can easily watch my speed and adjust throughout my run. I have found that the foot pod is a little bit off - about .01 mile per 1/4 mile, but I have easily adapted to that.

I also find it really nice to be able to run anywhere I want and know the exact distance I went. Super nice.

I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who runs.Get more detail about Suunto Motion Activated Foot POD.

Low Price Reebok Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Watch

I bought this watch over a Mio mainly because of price and because of the poor reviews the MIO's received on Amazon. NEVER had a problem getting a reading, but it is a challenge getting a stable reading while running (not to mention trying to avoid running into something or someone while you're looking down at the watch). I wore this watch as my everyday watch for almost a year until the band finally gave out. That's where I think MIO has an advantage, they know the band is going to give out, so they offer "colorful" replacement bands.

Mio Motiva Petite Heart Rate Monitor Watch Decide Now

Watch is easy to set up. Gives fairly accurate and easily obtained heart rate reading - with the watch on your wrist just press two buttons on opposite sides of watch with the other hand. Easy to enter your data.

Have not tried to use yet as a calorie counter. I believe it will be awkward as you have to enter your caloric intake and I am not certain how your calories burned are calculated.

Right size for smaller wrist. Good looking. Cleverly designed to easily exchange watch bands, but 2nd band included with watch is very, very bright.

Timex Ironman T5F001 Unisex 100-Lap Target Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch Order Now

This is my third Timex Ironman HRM and the last one I'll ever buy. I've previously bought the less expensive Timex HRM and found out they're not waterproof. Why should I expect water-resistant to 50m and being called a TRIATHLON watch (swim is part of triathlon I think) indicate I could rely on it to withstand a few swims and some sweating? Wrong! Both of my first two watches went down in a heap of water bubbles under the crystal after a few swims in the lake. Timex sent me replacements (for a 6$ surcharge): the first replacement worked for about 2wks then read my heart rate consistently at 249bpm; the second watch developed water droplets under the crystal after a few sweaty runs in the heat of summer.
But I like the look of the watch so I went for the upgrade - the T5F001. It is a fairly good watch and does essentially the bare basics of a running watch that I need EXCEPT when I run in the winter and require more than 2 layers on top. For some reason, the monitor is unable to pick up a signal through a few extra shirts. Once again, I'm left with a suboptimal HRM from Timex. My recommendation - go for the Suunto.Get more detail about Timex Ironman T5F001 Unisex 100-Lap Target Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

I bought this when I started losing weight to get a more accurate measure of my calorie burn since the machines in the gym always seem to be inflated! Polar FT60 Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Purple) Best Quality

Bought my piece of FT60 about 2 months ago for about $250. Didn't have any problem with the watch BUT it fell a couple of times on the floor from about 4 feet height - now after I swim I get water under the cover glass. Amazing, it's a sports watch! I had a G-Shock one bought in Germany in 1999, it's still running on the original battery and I wouldn't describe in detail how my kids played with it with an ice-hockey stick. POLAR should pay more attention to shock resistance.Get more detail about Polar FT60 Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Purple).

Polar FT80 Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black) This instant

Let's start with bottom line. I love and enjoy my new Polar FT80.
Got it about a month ago after training for a couple of years with an older version of a Polar heart rate monitor. The FT80 is a big step forward and upward.
First the physical aspect. The chest belt is wider and much more flexible and comfortable. Wetting it before the training to make sure the heart monitor connects well to the body is much easier and more reliable.
It stores 100 training sessions in its memory, so my whole training regiment for the last month can be reviewed. It also accumulates summaries so I can review the results on a weekly basis. This makes it much easier following my calories intake/spending on a daily or weekly basis.
During aerobic training there is a display that shows both the calories and the time spent from the start of the session. The previous version required jumping between two different displays to see these.
I set a weekly goal for training calories spending. I did not get the GPS Sensor or Foot Pod since all of my training is in the gym. I do not know how well they work, but if it is as well as the components I have, it should be very enlightening to get all the extra information like distance and speed statistics. It is also possible to set weekly distance goals.
The concept of heart rate based training zones is implemented very well. The time spent in each zone is recorded separately for each training session and accumulated through the week. The target time to be spent in each zone is also set on a weekly basis.
There is a special strength-training mode that shows the heart rate on a graph. On the same display I also see both the heart rate and the time from the start of the session, so I can time the rest between the exercise sets based either on time or my heart rate. It also suggests when to start the next set, although it currently gives me only about 30 seconds for rest and I feel I need more - or maybe I need to challenge myself more :-)
When my gym visit includes several sections like warm-up, strength training and aerobic training, I record them separately in the appropriate modes. Then when I come home I synchronize the watch very easily through the FlowLink with the [...] site and it stores all my training history. It also shows my target status, training-zone statistics and graphical curves of the heart-beat during all the training sessions.
I just skimmed through the training program feature, so I cannot comment on it. I did see that I can define a detailed training program with pre-defined exercises or add new ones I define myself. I'll probably do it further down the line.
It is even much better as a watch. It has a Stopwatch application with a nice multiple-laps recording feature and the wrist-band is very comfortable.
Finally, it even looks very nice - rounded, hi-tech shape. It looks different.
...Told you I love it :-)

Mio Drive Heart Rate Monitor Watch Top Quality

Have now owned three Mio watches. While I really like the concept I'm extremely frustrated with the quality of the instrument. I have only been able to keep each watch about six months before something goes wrong. In one case the wrist band broke, in another the face disappeared, and most recently the four buttons on the sides are not working. I had to go back to the Timex Ironman, and even though I cannot automatically get my heart rate... I certainly have a watch that is more dependable. Unfortunate but that is the experience I have had.Get more detail about Mio Drive Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

Polar F7 Men's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Blue) Review

I switched from a Garmin FR60 (in the morning) to a Polar F7 (by afternoon)and saved $5(Read my Garmin review "Garmin to Polar). I didn't want a Polar because of having to send it in to Polar to replace the battery, but after talking to a store that specializes in running, they suggested bringing into a good watch store to replace the battery and represurize or reseal it and it should be fine (this put me at ease). I did do that for my wife's Polar and it has been working fine. Sat in the locker room for about 5 minutes to set it up with no problems. Probably could have done it without the manual. Did review manual afterwards to better understand some of the features. Thought it was slightly easier to set up than the garmin and the buttons on the polar had better sensitivity. The manual was pretty good except onhow to get to the "Daily File" feature. I just happened to come across it by hitting the buttons and I actually wrote down in the manual better instructions on how to get to the "Daily File". Now that I found this feature, hopefully I can use [...]. I really like the "In Zone" feature. Definately nice features for the average athlete and the more advanced. The alarm feature is nice.

Con:
Volume level. I set it to #2 (the loudest) but it is still hard to hear. I kept looking at my watch.

Pro:
Everything mentioned above. Per the sales rep, this watch has a feature that prevents it from being affected by other hear rate monitors next to me. Nice to wear just as a watch.Get more detail about Polar F7 Men's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Blue).

Order Mens Sportline SOLO 925 Heart Rate Watch Monitor

Let me start with something positive. When you can get a reading it is pretty accurate. Getting a reading is the hard part. I bought this to take to the gym every morning. I exercise strenuously and wanted to monitor my heart rate because I am 60. You can't be exercising and get a reading. Sometimes I can go minutes with my finger pressed to the sensor and not get a reading. Don't even thing of using it biking or running. The technology doesn't seem like it should be that difficult but if this model is any indication the technology is rocket science. I looking forward to it breaking or the battery running down so I can get myself to buy one of the chest strap models. I'm to cheap or i'd throw this one away and but the chest strap model now.Get more detail about Mens Sportline SOLO 925 Heart Rate Watch Monitor.

Purchase Timex Ironman T5J985 Unisex Trail Runner Bodylink Heart Rate Monitor Watch

I bought this item thinking it would be a great training aid. Step one was to insert the battery into the case on the GPS unit. It took me half an hour and very sore fingers to get the battery door shut after inserting the battery! Thinking at least I probably wouldn't have to do it that often, I then read in the manual it needs to be replaced after 12 hours! No way am I going to do that battle so often. Also, the unit took forever to pick up satellites on the two occasions when I tried to use it and the arm strap for the GPS unit is quite short. Not a user friendly device. I returned it and bought a Garmin Forerunner 305 instead. I love it! It is easy to use, quickly picks up satellites and is very comfortable to wear, even on a small wrist like mine. I've used it twice since I received it two days ago, once on a 9.5 mile run and am so happy with it. The computer software works beautifully on my Mac. It is also quite a bit less expensive than the Timex. Buy a Garmin, you'll be much happier with it.Get more detail about Timex Ironman T5J985 Unisex Trail Runner Bodylink Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

Buying Polar RS300X G1 Heart Rate Monitor Watch with G1 GPS Sensor (Black)

The GPS pod works on and off and eats batteries. I have found the fastest way for it to aquire satellite lock is to take the battery out at the end of each run. If you simply turn the device off it doesn't recieve the GPS signal the next time you need it. As for the HRM and watch it is what you would expect from Polar but the start/stop button is cheap and I can see that failing first. The averages for speed vary greatly also but for the quick check during a long run it works fine and coupled with the HRM it will keep you honestGet more detail about Polar RS300X G1 Heart Rate Monitor Watch with G1 GPS Sensor (Black).

Cheap Sportline Solo 900 Heart Rate Monitor Watch

Because of recent open heart surgery, I was looking for a unit without a chest strap, the unit I purchased is great as a watch, but it take at least ten times of activation to get your heart rate. By the time it does record your heart rate, it has gone down by 10 or 20bpm. I would not purchase again, waste of money.Get more detail about Sportline Solo 900 Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

Cheapest Bowflex Fit Trainer Plus Heart Rate Monitor and Pedometer Watch (Regular)

There is much to like about this pedometer. It is priced reasonably for the amount of functiopnality and once you get the stride settings correct, it does a good job of tracking distance. Also, the heart rate montitor seems to be very accurate. However, I have one major issue. To me, it is too complicated to reset and figure out what you are doing. I need to bring the instructions with me each time. In other words, it is not intuitive or particularly user friendly. I would gladly sacrifice 20% of the functionality for ease-of-use. Low Price Polar FS2 Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black)

This watch does exactly what most people need, and is incredibly easy to use.

There are only a couple of things that keep me from giving it 5 stars, and that has more to do with me not thinking through everything I want:

1. A backlight would have been handy.

2. Minimum heart rate (in addition to max and average) is nice for resting heart rate measurements. (However, if you wait long enough, the average will approach the min.)

3. Ability to store more than one session. I frequently do multiple cardio sessions while at the gym. It would be have a log of all of the cardio sessions I did that day.

Overall, though, I'm very happy with it. It gets the job done.Get more detail about Polar FS2 Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black).

Save Garmin 405 No HRM Monitor

I've loved having this watch. I really like knowing how fast and how far I've gone on my runs. The heart rate monitor is an added bonus. The GPS is always exactly accurate when compared to my car's odometer or when running on a track.

Some people have said they've had problems with the touch bezel when it gets wet or when hands are sweaty but I haven't had any trouble at all (not even when it was raining). It always works for me every time. I would recommend this watch to anybody - I love it.Get more detail about Garmin 405 No HRM Monitor.

Lowest Price Polar FT40 Men's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Grey)

The only con to this product (besides the somewhat easily scratched screen) is the price, but you get what you pay for here!Get more detail about Polar FT40 Men's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Grey).

Polar FT60 Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black) Right now

Bought my piece of FT60 about 2 months ago for about $250. Didn't have any problem with the watch BUT it fell a couple of times on the floor from about 4 feet height - now after I swim I get water under the cover glass. Amazing, it's a sports watch! I had a G-Shock one bought in Germany in 1999, it's still running on the original battery and I wouldn't describe in detail how my kids played with it with an ice-hockey stick. POLAR should pay more attention to shock resistance.Get more detail about Polar FT60 Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Black).

Timex Expedition WS4 Widescreen 4-Function Watch (Black/Green) Buy Now

The watch in all is a good watch. It lives up to expectations but the compass failed within 1 month of purchase. I sent the watch back in for repairs and have not received it back yet but customer service was really decent. I think personally that it is as accurate as some of the several suunto's that I own. Except for the compass issue it seems to be a great deal.Get more detail about Timex Expedition WS4 Widescreen 4-Function Watch (Black/Green).
