Purchase Suunto T3c Heart Rate Monitor and Fitness Trainer Watch (Brown)

There are two pictures here but only one is of the "Black Polished" T3c. The second picture is of the "Red Arrow" T3c. I've been looking at Suunto Heart Rate monitors on this site all day and I can't believe how many INCORRECT images are displayed. Makes me wonder what I will actually receive when I place my order. I wish Amazon would clean this up and make it less confusing.

As for the product itself I havn't bought one yet. I hope to do so this weekend. I'm leaning towards the t4c model. I've used a Polar F6 for three/four years now I hope the T4c/T3c are as good or better. I like the fact that the batteries are user replaceable unlike the Polar F6. However, my Polar came with an analog chest strap that works with most gym cardio equipment where I do most of my workouts. Only the T1 and T1c come with an analog chest strap. The T3c/T4c come with a digital Ant strap that although eliminates interference from other peoples chest straps will not work with gym cardio equipment (i think). Suunto sells a dual chest strap that emits both analog and digital signals to solve this problem but it doesn't come standard with the watch. You'll end up spending between $59 and $89 more for that strap. Makes me wonder if I really need the added Training Effect and Coach Features in the T3c/T4c at the expense of the ability to interface with ellipticals, treadmills, steppers and other equipment found at most fitness clubs. Hope this info helps those like myself trying to find a new or replacement heart rate monitor.Get more detail about Suunto T3c Heart Rate Monitor and Fitness Trainer Watch (Brown).

Buying Suunto T3c Running Pack (T3c Heart Rate Monitor and Motion Activated Foot POD)

As a triathlete I'm always looking for the next magic electronic workout item. I currently love my Powertap for the bike and now I can add the T3C to that list of loves. It's not that complex to operate compared to other systems out there. The instructions are clear for those that have used HRMs and Power meters before.
I did research on all running packs from Suunto, Polar and Garmin. The direct results from friends with the new small Garmin is that it is unreliable and the Polar too expensive and complicated. I would prefer the t6 but for the money the t3 is perfect. Plus I don't lose reception when trail running.
I also got the bike pod and setting up the foot and bike pod is as easy as setting up a basic bike computer. The watch transitions from bike to run easily.
If you have never used an HRM before, you may find this difficult to set up as its not a simple Timex but compared to a Polar this thing was easy.Get more detail about Suunto T3c Running Pack (T3c Heart Rate Monitor and Motion Activated Foot POD).

Buy LifeSpan Fitness Heart Rate Monitor Ring (Colors may Vary)

I tried to use it with my stationary bike and unfortunately it doesn't work. It will not give you consistent readings when your heartbeat rises, so it's useless while you're exercising. It's now sitting at the bottom of my trash bin. The only good thing about buying it was that I could keep the two new CR2032 batteries for other gadgets -- pretty expensive batteries these two. Avoid it at all costs.Get more detail about LifeSpan Fitness Heart Rate Monitor Ring (Colors may Vary).

Discount Ekho E-15 Heart Rate Monitor Watch

I've had this monitor for well over 3 years and the original battery has finally died. The functions are fairly easy to figure out through trial and error. I've had to do this because I have no idea where the manual is. It does not have a backlight which is a little annoying. Gym equipment does pick up the chest strap signal which is good. The bad is that wireless equipment makes the reading go crazy. I can not use my wireless phone or laptop near it while the wireless signal is activated. Otherwise this monitor has served me well, but I want one with less interference and a backlight.Get more detail about Ekho E-15 Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

Save MD300C2 Pulse Oximeter By Choice Med

I've had an "old school" pulse ox forever. You know, heavy with a tiny screen flashing tiny red LCD numbers. Those numbers are positioned so a "medical professional" facing me could read them. Great big help when I'm at Walmart, gasping for air! I had enough of all the squinting, neck-wrenching fun! I needed a new pulse ox, but feared the price.

Enter the MD300C2 by Choice Med. What a difference! A big one! Here are the highlights:

Weight-Although much larger and clunkier than older ones, it is nearly feathweight. Easy to slip on--and off.

Readout- As described. The generous screen displays HUGE blue letters that are easily read by the wearer...no squinting or neck-breaking required! The default position is as pictured, but pushing a button changes the position in numerous ways. However, the changes are temporary and always return to the default position. A disappointment, but not a spoiler.

Batteries-Haven't had it long enough to attest to battery life. I do know that the design leaves no chance of the accidental battery drain which plagues the old ones. It will not work until the button on the face of the pulse ox is pressed. Within 6 seconds after the finger is withdrawn, it shuts down until button-activated.

Some other positives-The included hang string is long enough to wear the pulse ox as a fashion statement...a little long for a wristlet. I purchased mine through Amazon from Best Care. This company included a very attractive (mine was olive green with black trim), sturdy case FREE! If your provider does not include a case, please invest in one and use it.

One little negative-The pushbutton activation is a plus for battery longevity, but it is hard to locate since it is black and blends with the black face. Unless you move very quickly, the display will terminate before putting in your finger. Solution--insert your finger, then activate with the opposite hand. If you have use of only one hand, the button can be gently pushed against any object.

I spent a good deal of time researchng pulse oxes. Had I known the display always reverted to default (which is not clear), I may have gone down a step. All in all, this is a quality product and surprisingly affordable.Get more detail about MD300C2 Pulse Oximeter By Choice Med.

Suunto T6 Watch Buy Now

I bought a USD300++ T6 on 31 March 08 on Amazon. I sent it for repair to local service center in Malaysia on 19 March 08, after less than one year usage (no transmission between HR belt <-> watch, even with new batteries). We're 8th of May and I have no news - and no heart rate monitor. For a triathlete that's a hopeless situation.

The device is plastic with no moving parts. I find it hard to believe that the electronics can break inside, despite being all sealed , and no harsh treatment (running and cycling only). This implies poor design and/or poor workmanship. In comparison, my TV which is also electronics, is still working after 15 years! My 4 year old Polar also works fine with new batteries.

I can accept random failure, but apparently, I am not the only person complaining on the internet about this type of transmission failure for T6 HRM models.

Therefore, for such known manufacturing problem, I would expect warranty service to provide a standard replacement on the spot: this is not a hand-made swiss watch that can only be repaired by hand. It is also an expensive, rugged device which should not break, and thus the warranty should be a real warranty, e.g. 7 days or on the spot replacement. Not a 6 week joke.

I will post the above feedback on all the websites I find where user are invited to post feedback, starting with Amazon where I bought the watch. And I'll go buy a new Polar to continue my training.

Blue Polar Heart Rate Monitor - FS1 Order Now

I was looking for something easy to use. As I have started training and wanting to lose weight, I have needed to manage my heart rate. This is perfect. It belt picks up on the treadmill, and the watch beeps if I am below or above my heart rate zone for weight loss I pre-programed. I would recommend if you need/want to stay within a particular heart rate zone.

I eventually do some charity work. I met this old lady in a retirement home that was on oxygen and needed to keep track of her oxygen level. So I bought this oximeter for her. Suunto X3HR Heart Rate Wrist-Top Computer Watch with Altimeter, Barometer, and Thermometer Best Quality

I know this guy is out of production (or seems to be) but I have to add my voice to the positive reviews - I had one of these for probably three years, hiking, biking, swimming - it's prone to interference from other heart monitor watches but other than that, it's bulletproof.

The easy change battery was awesome too because it does eat batteries maybe every month or two with active use.

No complaints, tight build quality and now they've added temp to the firmware apparently. I'm back ordering my second one.

BabyCom Fetal Doppler / Heart Rate Monitor Top Quality

My husband and I were very impressed by the ease of finding the fetal heartbeat and the clarity in which it is heard. The quality of sound was the same or better than at the doctor's office.

One of the weaknesses is that it is relatively difficult to get an accurate heart rate due to the fact that you need a steady stream of sound for 8 seconds. If the baby moves, you lost it!

There are additional weaknesses, but not to the point that we would tell anyone NOT to buy this product. They are just some little things that you have to figure out...and we have already figured out a lot in our 5 days of ownership.

Before you start aimlessly looking for the heartbeat, you or your significant other can feel around gently for the hardest spot in your belly and start there. If you find the hard spot and start there, it has been our experience to find the heartbeat within a minute. Here are some things to look out for:

If you hold the transducer too close to the base you will hear some obnoxious feedback that is similar to a guitar and amp. The instructions state that you need a lot of the gel and they aren't lying. If you don't have enough gel on your belly, there will be some more obnoxious noises. When you do have enough gel, the transducer moves easily and it is easier to find the heartbeat. However, it is very important to hold the transducer very steady for the best signal and the least amount of interference.

Another thing we found is that if you try for a longer period of time (which we did the first day we got it) the heartbeat will disappear. That was only because the baby dropped toward my back from laying in the same position for so long. We tried a little later after I had been walking around and had laid on my left side for about a half hour and we were able to pick up the heart beat right away.

Other than these small things that we had to figure out, we are very happy with this purchase. It is very comforting to be able to say, "Do you want to listen to the baby?" and have the option to do just that. This was a well-spent amount of money, and because we are planning to have more children, we plan to use it for a while. It was a good investment.

Now about me. You may be wondering how far along I am for it to be so easy to hear the heartbeat. The day we received the Babycom Fetal Doppler, I was at the first day of my 17th week. I have 23 more weeks to use it:)Get more detail about BabyCom Fetal Doppler / Heart Rate Monitor.

It seems like a decent watch with good functions! Polar RS200sd Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Red)

This is a good entry level watch for a runner that wants to follow their HR during runs. The watch is only moderately complex. The numbers are legible. The basic kit comes with a strap, the sd kit comes with the footpod.

You really need to buy into the HR zones to get the full function of this watch. Otherwise, it may be a bit of overkill. The polar website has some additional instructions that help with this.Get more detail about Polar RS200sd Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Red).

Order Suunto T1 Heart Rate Monitor and Fitness Trainer Watch (Black)

I got my HRM last week sometime and fiddled with it. I don't know why everyone thinks it's so hard to get to know, but it really took me maybe 1/2 hr to 45 min (which seemed like nothing compared to the reviews )to figure out how to use everything, I actually found it pretty easy compared to all of the reviews on the watch. Right when you turn it on, it prompts you to add all of your personal information, so it's kinda hard to screw that up. I went for a 2 mile walk after I was done setting it up and it worked perfectly. I couldn't be happier. Also, don't let the picture fool you, it doesn't look as expensive as the picture, but it gets the job done.Get more detail about Suunto T1 Heart Rate Monitor and Fitness Trainer Watch (Black).

Purchase Numetrex Heart Sensing Sports Bra (BLACK-SMALL 32 to 34AB)

Decided to give this a whirl with my new Polar F6 after talking to a girl in my spinning class about it - so glad that I did! It was a little disappointing to have it arrive and realize that I needed a different transmitter from the one that came with my watch (You have to have a Wearlink from Polar or the Numetrex one - either can be bought online) to pop into the bra, but I was able to buy a Wearlink separately and it works perfectly! Uber comfy, perfect transmission (heart rate is right on) and NO CROSS TALKING with other spinners in my class! Woo Hoo! I love the fact that I don't have any slipping issues with this. Cheapest Polar Heart Rate Monitor – F4

I bought the F4 model last year. After 6 months the band broke so I emailed Polar about it, along with the serial number of the watch. They sent the replacement parts for the wrong watch, so I emailed them again...and again...and again. They never got back to me, so I've given up.

The sad part is that the monitor worked well and would even synch with all of the equipment at the health clubs I visited, without having to hold the machine grips. I really liked that! But without a watch it's no good.Get more detail about Polar Heart Rate Monitor – F4.

Save Polar G1 GPS Speed and Distance Sensor

I love my Polar F60. I bought it to track my fitness on hikes and runs while on a trip in southwest Utah. And with it, I bought the Polar G1 GPS Speed and Distance Sensor. Alas. The shallowest of canyons had it flummoxed; the most unthreatening cliffs stymied it. On a given hike (or run) I would get mileages from 2.1 to 8.5 miles off from the established distances.
Coming home to New York City, I fared no better. Testing the G1 on daily Central Park runs of (tested) 3.7 miles, I got readings from 2.2 to 6 miles. (And according to the G1, I was running 12.3 miles per hour at my MAX - possible for some, perhaps, but not for me.) Pretty useless. Apparently the "four satellites" that are accessed need to be directly overhead.
I'm going to try the foot pod. Until I move to a Plains state.Get more detail about Polar G1 GPS Speed and Distance Sensor.

Beurer PM 65 Heart Rate Monitor Watch Buy Now

Pros:
*Nice stainless steel casing
*Have a lot of HRM functions, like duratin below/in/out of your training zone, and many more.
*Transmittor belt is comfortable
*Pretty sleek display with very large display
*The monitor picked up the transmitter quickly, did not need to warm up.

Neutral:
*The display is not nearly as bright as the picture. The display seems a bit polarized so it is only vivid at a particular angle. I personally didn't have too much issue with this in the sun.
*HRM are generally thicker than most everyday watches. However this watch is a bit thicker than average HRM watches.

Con:
*Display only supports military time (1-24hr) no AM/PM
*The transmittor is very suseptible to interference. At some points, my monitor was telling my HR was at 187 BPM for a good 3 minute duration and with a few 220 BPM readings. I have use a few other HRMs, both analog and digital (coded) transmittor belts on the same route that I run and worked fine. I could not push my hear rate higher than 180 BPM at best.

Ekho WM-128 Heart Rate Monitor Watch Get it now!

Husband bought the watch for me for my birthday. Ship was quick and I used it immediately. The watch was fairly easy to program, although it didn't necessarily provide details about what each function was for (i.e. when to use chromo setting, what target heart rate is, etc). The watch was a bit bulkier than i had expected as well. Probably the size of a golf ball for the face. I've had some difficulty getting an accurate reading from the HR monitor and calorie counter. The heart rate jumps around a lot and my calorie count for a one hour cycling class was 328 calories: normal caloric burn for 150 pound woman is 600 calories. Had the instructor wear the watch as well and she got a big discrepancy between what her Polar watch usually reads and what she got with mine. I called the company and spoke to a gentleman who said he'd check out a few that he had in stock to see if he got an accurate read and then call me the next day. I gave two days and had to call him back. He reported that "he dropped the ball and forgot to call back" and that I may have a "faulty" watch and that he'd send a new one out that day. This was over a week and a half ago and I'm still waiting for my watch that "works." Going to call again tomorrow to see what happened. Will post again with results of watch #2 (if I ever get it).

Emailed company again... this is my third contact for them to send another watch. Customer service is awful. I am considering returning watch and buying a Polar or other watch with better service record. Get more detail about Ekho WM-128 Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

I have a Mark of Fitness that finally died after three years and am looking to replace it. I found that monitor almost essential for interval training a la Dr. Sears. You can get your pulse into the target range, sustain it for the required time, then go back to walking as your pulse slows down. When you first start, it is hard to get your pulse to come down fast enough, but over time you can. I took my BP from 145-150/90-100 down to 110-120/60-70. Shop For Body Flex X-Max Digital Pulse Watch

This is a good one piece pulse monitor, and accurate (tested it against a Blood Pressure Monitor and gave the same reading). While running, just put your index and thumb on the pads and in a couple of seconds you'll get your pulse rate. The problem is that when it gets wet (or even humid), the pulse monitor starts by itself which overrides the button functions or any other thing. Anyways I still use it to monitor my pulse, but I use another stopwatch for laps counting and timing. Get more detail about Body Flex X-Max Digital Pulse Watch.

New Balance HRT Max Heart Rate Monitor (Black)

I bought this watch about 18 months ago, from Amazon, because I wanted a simple, durable HRM where I could change the batteries myself, have simple functions and have the choice of using the built in sensors or a chest strap to track my heart rate. It worked fine for the first year - I wore the watch 2 - 3 times a week for my 5k runs. Then it just stopped working. It still told the time but it wasn't giving heart rate readings anymore either through the sensors or the chest strap. I emailed the manufacturer (Highgear) and made a warranty claim. They offered me another model in exchange which didn't have the built in sensors, but I insisted on a like for like replacement. So they sent this model over, which looked exactly the same, and when the package arrived there was no accompanying chest strap. Called the manufacturer back and they say, "sorry, this new revised model doesn't come with a chest strap". This was never mentioned during the warranty claim process! I didn't bother making another claim as they put the onus on me to prove they did not communicate properly. The replacement watch works ok and it deserves two stars for that but it's not what I originally bought. Overall, this has been a very frustrating ownership experience and I will not buy from them again. Get more detail about New Balance HRT Max Heart Rate Monitor (Black).

Buy Rawlings Digital HEART RATE / PULSE WATCH

Purchased unit online at a deal a day site. I was skeptically because it said that it required no chest strap, but also indicated continious monitoring of your heart rate. Reality is it's only continious IF you place your fingers on the sensor pads on the face, so it really only does a spot check.

It does have some nice sport features like a pacer mode where you can set it like a metronome to set your cadence. It also does split chrono nicely. Large display is a plus.

Bottom line is if you really want to monitor your heart rate exertion zones, don't bother with this unit. Get more detail about Rawlings Digital HEART RATE / PULSE WATCH.

I bought one of these and hooked up to the sound card of my computer. Now I can see some what of a waveform giving me pulse rate and some idea of the Qt and rr intervals. It was pretty easy to put together as long as you have a soldering iron and wire snippers. Also you will have to supply a battery to make it work. Cheap Reebok Fitwatch 10M Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Watch

This is a very nice watch. It measures your heart rate very well, but sometimes it will not read it and you have to wait a few minutes. The calorie burner counter is pretty cool, but if you take your pulse at a very high rate and then bring it down to a normal resting rate without re-testing, then it looks like you burn a ton of calories. It is great that the watch does not have a band that goes around your chest, but sometimes it would be nice if you did not have to hold 2 fingers on it to get a reading.

Overall, I would purchase again!Get more detail about Reebok Fitwatch 10M Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

Cheapest Heart Rate for Dummies D-74 Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Watch

I have been wearing a Rolex for the past thirty years, but now as a heart patient often need to check my heart rate quickly during strenous activity but without a chest strap.

The digits are large. This is helpful as my 50+ year old eyes are no longer 20/20.

The monitor requires one be relatively still for 3-6 seconds, but it is accurate and reliable so far (several weeks since I bought it).

One extra benefit it has that I am finding useful while grilling etc. is that it has a countdown timer.

I love my Rolex. This I don't love, but it serves a purpose and it works.

Discount Mio Sport Select Petite Heart Rate Watch

I am very disapointed in this product. It will only take my heart rate if I am not moving at all and if my hands are completely dry. Now, what's the point. I'm a runner and sweat profusely; it refuses to give me a heart rate as I'm cooling down, walking, or standing still trying to get a heart rate. I do not recommend the watch. I'm unfortunately using it only for timing my runs. It was a disapointing purchase of $60 or so.Get more detail about Mio Sport Select Petite Heart Rate Watch.

Low Price Stainless Steel Calorie/Heart Rate Monitor Watch

I actually received the product ordered, but I am returning it asap. Shipping took longer than estimated, the watch is hard to program, and it is not adjustable to wrist sizes. It was about 1.5" larger than my wrist, and I don't see how it can monitor heart rate when it is not against your wrist.Get more detail about Stainless Steel Calorie/Heart Rate Monitor Watch.
