Mio Shape Select Petite Heart Rate Watch Right now

I like this watch, overall, but it did take a while to get used to wearing it. Let me be clear, this is the biggest watch I have seen classified as a woman's watch. This is its biggest drawback, because if its not comfortable, you aren't going to wear it. After I got used to it, I began to like the watch a lot more and forgave its large size. After all, it needs to be big to accommodate the heart rate reader.

I find the heart rate reader accurate most of the time +/- 5bpm. I find it underestimates calories burned. It does not monitor your heart rate like one of the chest straps. You have to read your heart rate periodically, which I haven't had any troubles doing while working out. Your wrist can't be above heart, which isn't a problem for me. I like having the other features available: chronometer, weight, calorie goal, calorie counting, but they are not entirely intuitive. Skimming the manual is recommended. I like the display when you read your heart rate, it displays your %max very clearly, and if you have the chronometer going, it will then display calories burned. The back light is also nice.

Pros: clear + easy display, simple heart rate reading, calorie counting feature, interchangeable/replaceable bands are available to order

Cons: not entirely intuitive interface, very BIG watch, doesn't continually monitor heart rate Get more detail about Mio Shape Select Petite Heart Rate Watch.

Lowest Price Suunto t3c Heart Rate Monitor and Fitness Trainer Watch without ANT Belt (Deep Green)

There are two pictures here but only one is of the "Black Polished" T3c. The second picture is of the "Red Arrow" T3c. I've been looking at Suunto Heart Rate monitors on this site all day and I can't believe how many INCORRECT images are displayed. Makes me wonder what I will actually receive when I place my order. I wish Amazon would clean this up and make it less confusing.

As for the product itself I havn't bought one yet. I hope to do so this weekend. I'm leaning towards the t4c model. I've used a Polar F6 for three/four years now I hope the T4c/T3c are as good or better. I like the fact that the batteries are user replaceable unlike the Polar F6. However, my Polar came with an analog chest strap that works with most gym cardio equipment where I do most of my workouts. Only the T1 and T1c come with an analog chest strap. The T3c/T4c come with a digital Ant strap that although eliminates interference from other peoples chest straps will not work with gym cardio equipment (i think). Suunto sells a dual chest strap that emits both analog and digital signals to solve this problem but it doesn't come standard with the watch. You'll end up spending between $59 and $89 more for that strap. Makes me wonder if I really need the added Training Effect and Coach Features in the T3c/T4c at the expense of the ability to interface with ellipticals, treadmills, steppers and other equipment found at most fitness clubs. Hope this info helps those like myself trying to find a new or replacement heart rate monitor.Get more detail about Suunto t3c Heart Rate Monitor and Fitness Trainer Watch without ANT Belt (Deep Green).

Order Timex T5J031 Unisex Digital Fitness Heart Rate Monitor Watch

Been use it for about a month now, have everything that I needed for a heart rate monitor, very good!

only complain I have is that you have to manually reset the timer in order to start a new session recording. If you forget to reset it and already pressed the HR button you are not gonna get the data for this session, unless you remove the chest strap and start over again.Get more detail about Timex T5J031 Unisex Digital Fitness Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

Shop For Timex T5G971 Unisex Sports Personal Heart Rate Monitor Watch

I bounght this HRM to replace one which I liked a great deal but which broke irrevocably. I did not take enough time to determine what it showed and did on its screen, since the 2-3 I've owned had all been satisfactory in the past and I naively thought this one would be as well.

I am very disappointed in that the screen shows only heart rate (when set) and does not give you the option to see real time when you are exercising. You can hold the button to see elapsed time, but this does not remain on the screen. Therefore, it is hard to do intervals, see when it's time to go home, etc.

I also have found this watch takes a great deal of sweat to begin transmission. I know that the band can be moistened to short-circuit this, but I have not had the problem in the past, since I perspire a fair amount.

Lastly, the calorie counts seem extremely low. I'll go on the treadmill (interval jogging) for 40 minutes and come out with @ 150 calories burned, though I've gone more than 2 miles.

The good stuff? Clear display, rugged watch, comfy band.Get more detail about Timex T5G971 Unisex Sports Personal Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

Buying Timex T5G941 Heart Rate Monitor Watch

I was in the market for a heart rate monitor with chest strap that simply provided heart rate. I didn't need any other function than that. After searching local stores (big name and small) all I could find were wrist monitors (no chest straps) and all had far more functionality than what I needed, for more money than what I wanted to spend.

I researched these and the Timex was highly rated as just a simple heart rate monitor.

I have had the item for over a month now and it performs exactly as advertised and does everything I need it to do. Bonus for me is that the monitor's readings are picked up by the treadmills I run on so I don't always have to glance at the watch to see my heart rate.

For the money, if you are simply looking for a reliable heart rate monitor without all the gizmos, this one is for you.Get more detail about Timex T5G941 Heart Rate Monitor Watch.

Purchase Reebok Fitwatch 10S Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Blue)

I received this watch about seven weeks ago and was very happy with it until the blue backlight came on two days ago and would not turn itself off; the extra power consumption has worn down the battery. Even though I did not expect this Reebok Fitwatch 10S Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Blue) to do a whole lot, especially not for thirty-something dollars, I expected it to last a lot longer than two months.

Pros: 1) It gives a good ballpark of my heart rate; 2) it's water-resistant so I can wear it when swimming; 3) you can program it to give you your target heart range; 4) it's not important to me but it was nice to have a calorie-burning function.

Cons: 1) it's rather bulky- it's a problem when I wear long-sleeved clothes, and I have to take it off whenever I get on the computer; 2) the number of calories burned is based on the last reading you did, so if your last heart rate measurement was, say, 150 bpm, the calorie-burning feature bases its numbers on the 150 bpm, not your current rate; 3) the backlight came on and stayed on.

Overall, it did what I wanted it to do, which was to measure my heart rate and is water-resistant. It would have been nice if it did it for a lot longer than two months. I am getting an exchange, so I'll see if the new one does the same thing. Get more detail about Reebok Fitwatch 10S Strapless Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Blue).

Save Polar F4 Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Blue Ice)

This was the first HRM I owned, and it is perfect for beginners. Everything is very simple to understand, and set up. The unit is attractive looking, and highly accurate (you can see your HR rise the moment you start moving), with enough real features to keep you motivated, and actually put it to good use either in the gym or on the road.

One thing I've since discovered, is that Polar HRM's are much easier to use than some other models (check a few manuals online to see for yourself). The F4 is very simple: simply enter some initial data (age, sex, weight), and then put the strap on (wet the reverse with some tap water) and you're ready. Click the start button. The unit has useful exercise views (duration, time in zone, calories, avg heart rate, max heart rate) which you can cycle through with a button press as you work out. Once finished, you view an exercise summary screen, which displays all this information. The data is then added to a totals file (which can be reset at will -- ie: at the end of the week).

All in all, this is perfect for a beginner. It does enough for it to be useful for a couple of years, before you will want to move onto something more complicated. Don't spend £150+ on a HRM first time; try something like this and make sure you need extra features. This worked like a dream for me, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a simple (but effective) heart rate monitor.Get more detail about Polar F4 Women's Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Blue Ice).
